The Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (UNY), conducted an International Accreditation activity from Wednesday, September 4, 2024, to Friday, September 6, 2024. The accreditation was carried out by ASIIN (Accreditation for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics/Computer Science, The Natural Sciences, and Mathematics). Four study programs applied for ASIIN accreditation this time: the Bachelor of Education in Electronic Engineering, Bachelor of Education in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Education in Automotive Engineering, and the Bachelor of Information Technology. The assessment team consisted of six members, namely Michael Meyer (ASIIN Project Manager), Prof. Dr. Moustafa Nawito (International University of Applied Sciences), Prof. Dr. Anne Schulz-Breenken (University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia), Prof. Dr. Jens Shuster (University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern), Cahyadi Setiawan (Industry Representative from PT. Robo Marine Indonesia), and Alif Addamaghani Kurniawan (Student from the Bandung Institute of Technology).

The opening session for this assessment took place in the Main Conference Room of the Rectorate Building. UNY representatives present included Prof. Dr. Soni Nopembri, M.Pd., Ph.D. (Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A. (Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Enterprises), Prof. Dr. Lia Yuliana, M.Pd. (Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance), Dr. Ir. Darmono, M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng. (Director of Cooperation, Information Systems, and Enterprises), Prof. Dr. Yudik Prasetyo, M.Kes. (Director of Research and Community Service), Prof. Dr. Bruri Triyono (Head of the International Relations Office), Prof. Dr. Heri Retnawati, M.Pd. (Director of Planning and Finance), Endah Retnowati, S.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. (Secretary of the Directorate of Quality Assurance), Prof. Dr. Mutiara Nugraheni, S.TP., M.Si. (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), and the Vice-Deans of the Faculty of Engineering.

Also in attendance were the Head of the Department of Electronic and Informatics Engineering Education, Coordinators of the Study Programs for Electronic Engineering Education, Mechanical Engineering Education, Automotive Engineering Education, and Information Technology.

The event schedule included interviews with the university, faculty, and study program leaders, which took place in the Rectorate’s Main Conference Room (Wednesday, September 4, 2024); interviews with students, alumni, and lecturers, as well as visits to the laboratories (Thursday, September 5, 2024) in the KPLT Building, Faculty of Engineering UNY; and finally, interviews with partners, business and industry representatives, followed by the closing session (Friday, September 6, 2024), which also took place at the KPLT Building, Faculty of Engineering.
